Hi my name is Jim and I would like to introduce a new group evolving in the Plymouth Area
The group is called Plymouth Friends For Animals.
Plymouth Friends for Animals’ focus as a group is to actively promote a cruelty free lifestyle whilst defending the rights of animals, locally, nationally and internationally.
Plymouth Friends for Animals intends to achieve this through raising awareness with education and dissemination of information.
This will come about through the Plymouth Friends for Animals’ involvement in various activities including :
Being present or having a stall at Fairs and Festivals
Selling stuff at boot sales to raise funds for group events and campaigns
you know how everyone has loads of stuff they don't use anymore ;D ...
any donations of boot sale items would be gratefully received.
If anyone has any hand made arts and crafts that they would like to donate this also would be very happily received.
As would any tasty Vegan treats such as cakes and snacks (CHEER) for people to sample at the events Plymouth Friends for Animals will be attending.
(Honest they will be for punters not the volunteers manning the stalls, well maybe any date sensitive goodies left at the end of the day he he).
Creating and distributing our own range of leaflets as well as distributing literature from organisations such as
Viva, Vegan Society, Animal Aid, Sea Shepherd, Hunt Sabs, etc. and on a more local note,
aiding local concerns such as animal sanctuaries and rescue centres.
Distributing leaflets via suitable outlets in the Plymouth area recommendations most welcome
Plymouth Friends for Animals are considering the possibility of a stall in the city centre at Frankfurt Gate,
as well as Organising Talks / Presentations and Video screenings.
Promote specific campaigns, start and establish our own campaigns, support local animal protection and animal welfare initiatives
which will involve circulating and generating petitions, letter writing, emailing and phoning where appropriate,
Plymouth Friends for Animals hope to work alongside and together with other animal advocacy groups
organising and taking part in various social events such as potlucks,
coffee mornings and picnics in the park, as well as the more serious campaigns and activities.
Another very important aspect of the group will be offering information, links and further resources,
guiding people towards living a more animal friendly cruelty free lifestyle through support and encouragement.
Powered by compassion united with focus we can make a difference for animals for environment for humanity
If you have any ideas or suggestions why not come along to one of our regular meetings and give a presentation.
